Do research on any group you donate to or get a pet from. From what I've seen among dog lovers discussions a lot of the rescues argue among themselves. Some even have problems with the care of their funds among themselves. For that reason, I won't have very many links here, you can google for some and choose from thousands. I know of the one below from friends and she is her own entity caring right at home for ones placed with her. She can really use help and I've never heard a harsh word about her. My other rescue of choice would be YTCAR which is the one affiliated with the YTCA.
